Two illegal workers were found and removed from a restaurant in South Yorkshire in February as part of a South Yorkshire wide crackdown on rogue employers.
Following an investigation by the Employment Agency Standards inspectorate (EAS), the directors of an HGV recruitment company have been banned from running an employment agency for up to 10 years.
A restaurant has been fined £17,500 for employing illegal workers, only months after being fined £15,000 for the same offence.
There are a number of interesting changes that have been announced to the draft Agency Workers Regulations 2010, including anti-avoidance provisions.
